Dimanche soir, ils prendront la piste. Des experts de la carte électorale, pour définir où il faut se retirer, se maintenir, soutenir ou non le dissident, etc. Car ces élections peuvent se jouer à quelques sièges : en 2022, il manquait à Emmanuel Macron seulement 39 pour avoir la majorité absolue pendant cinq ans. La situation est aujourd’hui très différente : le camp présidentiel est loin derrière (19,5 %), dans notre dernier sondage Ipsos d’intentions de vote, du Rassemblement national et de ses alliés (crédités de 36 %) et du Nouveau Front populaire (29 %). France Inter a donc passé la carte au peigne fin et contacté de nombreux élus pour arriver à cette quasi-certitude : la majorité perdra au moins 120 députés.

“J’ai encore le temps d’aller allumer une bougie à Lourdes, mais j’ai peur que ça ne change pas grand chose.”ironise par exemple un député, qui sent clairement la vague qui va l’emporter. “La déferlante n’a pas eu lieu”» concède un proche du Président. « La peur ne nous sert à rien et je ne la comprends pas. » Dans chaque région, les comptes sont déjà faits… « 5, 6 et 10 perdus en Haute-Garonne », « 1, 3, 6 pliés dans le Calvados », « 1, 8, 9, 10 ruinés en Isère »etc. Et la liste est longue, atteignant 120 circonscriptions sur 250 où le camp présidentiel va, selon nos estimations, disparaître sauf surprise de taille.
Dans certains départements, comme la Charente-Maritime, la majorité sortante pourrait disparaître et perdre les cinq circonscriptions du territoire. En Île-de-France, 20 sièges sont en danger, dont quatre à Paris, six dans les Bouches-du-Rhône, quatre en Gironde. “Le problème”analyse un stratège, « la mobilisation de notre électorat se fait souvent dans nos fiefs, là où il n’y a pas de suspense ». Et “Dimanche, il n’y aura rien à fêter”, avoue un député… Par ailleurs, le parti présidentiel n’organise pas de soirée électorale. Elle se déroulera à domicile, avec ses résultats.
